Did you know that there are families in Sutton going hungry tonight?
As the weather changes more people in our area are going to have to choose between heating their homes and feeding their families.
On Saturday 12th November 2011 representatives of our church collected in a large part of the Cheam Park Farm area for Sutton Food Bank. If you were one of those who kindly contributed then we want to say a huge, Thank You! You will have received an invitation to a special ‘Thank You’ event on Saturday 3rd December (if you did not receive this after donating then please contact the church office for details). The Food Drive was a huge success and below is a summary of what we collected:
Tins of baked beans - 91 Soup - 65 Tinned tomatoes - 104 Tinned fruit - 67 Pudding - 18 Custard - 18 Pasta sauce - 45 Tinned pasta - 23 Pasta - 23 Rice - 32 Noodles - 50 Tinned meat - 57 Tinned fish - 93 Packets mashed potato - 10 Packets biscuits - 46 Tea - 5 Coffee - 3 Sugar - 8 Cereal - 14 UHT milk - 8 Fruit juice - 8 … and other items!
